My research interests lie in Experimental Elementary Particle Physics, with emphasis is on neutrino physics and search for dark matter candidates. These studies require a wide know-how of low radioactivity processes, low temperature technology, radiation detectors, refined techniques of signal processing and data analysis. Presently, I am the spokesperson of CUORE, the largest bolometric experiment in the world, aimed to investigate the neutrinoless double-beta decay. CUORE technology is based on a delicate equilibrium between very low temperature operation (~10 mK), an extremely radio-pure environment and a large (1 ton) performing detector: This implies a multidisciplinary approach with a strong synergy from different fields of Science and Technology.
